Elizabeth Bowen, MAMFT, LAPC

Do you find that past experiences are limiting how you view yourself or the ease in which you are able to connect with others? Individuals that have experienced adverse experiences can often feel like they have to “get better” by themself which can feel daunting and oftentimes isolating. If you are looking into therapy, I am guessing you have tried your hardest to work through your unique circumstances without long-lasting relief. If you are ready to explore the parts of your story that continue to hold you back with someone who will approach your story with curiosity and compassion, you are in the right place.

My practice is trauma-focused, and I enjoy working within family systems and individually with adults and teens. I typically find myself working with clients that are experiencing anxiety, addiction, depression, disordered eating, and attachment and relational issues. I operate from a strength bases approach; in our work together, my hope is that you will begin to see your inherent goodness.

I have completed the Internal Family Systems (IFS) circle training and level one certification. I am also trained in Prepare/Enrich Premarital Counseling, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and am a HAES-aligned (Health At Every Size), eating disorder informed clinician.

I admire the bravery that it takes to consider counseling, and I would love to walk alongside you as you begin to invest in yourself.
